Opposing the removal of the Reef at Indian Bay.

We at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Environment Fund along with the below named citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, hereby oppose the application to remove the Coral Reef at Indian Bay, Villa put forward by Raffique Dunbar and advertised in The News newspaper dated Friday, July 2nd, 2021, which was submitted to the Physical Planning and Development Board.

At present, the reef is alive and supports marine life as well as protects the beach.

We object to :

1. The removal of the reef
2. The placement of tetrapods as “artificial reef”
3. The placement of new imported sand on the beach

Signing this petition will help us achieve the ultimate goal of saving the Reef from being removed and instead work towards restoring the reef.

Let us save and restore our Reef!
